Over the years, there have been several attempts made by the government, private and civil agencies to address infrastructural issues in schools. However, several issues still remain unsolved to a large degree.
– Issues related to equity in education – where all students receive the resources that they need uniformly (including separation of facilities between boys and girls)
– Delivery on factors that positively increase the chances of pupils and teachers attending school and remaining healthy at school
– Issues related to engagement of communities – as school buildings are deeply rooted in the communities that they serve
– Lack of digital connectivity – Lack of digital connectivity across schools in the country and inadequate teaching materials affect the quality of education.
Poor school infrastructure is a persistent challenge in rural school education in India. During this webinar we would look to explore some of these school infrastructural challenges in detail and suggest possible solutions.
