It’s been more than a year since the schools have been shut. Close to 6 million rural students are disconnected because of lack of digital connectivity. With the second wave at its peak, and an anticipated third wave, the future looks bleak. Several studies suggest learning loss and high dropout rates as a result of the pandemic amongst other long-term consequences.
