Schools are not only a place to learn but a place where children can stay healthy, safe, and dignified. From building clean toilets to ensuring access to safe drinking water and handwashing facilities, our WASH program restores the most basic promise of education: that no child should have to choose between going to school and staying well.

In many government schools, learning stops where hygiene fails. Broken toilets, contaminated water, and the absence of handwashing facilities lead to absenteeism, especially among girls. This impacts students’ health and confidence.
Through Ennoble’s school transformation projects, WASH becomes the foundation of every intervention. Because clean water and sanitation aren’t luxuries but necessary for dignified learning.
Installation of filtered, regularly maintained drinking water units to ensure reliable access to clean water for all students and staff.
Gender-segregated, well-ventilated toilets with proper drainage, handwashing stations, and sanitary disposal facilities for girls.
Placement of group handwashing areas near classrooms and meal spaces to promote daily hygiene routines.
Regular awareness sessions and hygiene clubs to help students build lifelong healthy habits.
Water conservation systems, rainwater harvesting, and community-led maintenance to ensure facilities last.
Our WASH initiatives have improved health, attendance, and dignity across our partner schools. Here’s what’s changing
Improved attendance, especially among adolescent girls.
Drastic reduction in water-borne illnesses.
Better hygiene awareness among children and their families.
Stronger ownership from local communities who maintain facilities.
Schools that look, feel, and function like safe spaces for learning.
When Ennoble first began working in Amravati, many schools struggled with challenges that quietly disrupted learning every day. Sanitation facilities were poorly maintained, drinking water purifiers were broken, and there were too few water points for students to use safely. In some communities, water contamination further increased the risk of waterborne illnesses.
These conditions didn’t just impact health but affected attendance, focus, and dignity, particularly for girls.
In partnership with CleanMax, Ennoble introduced focused Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) interventions to address these gaps. Toilets were repaired, access to safe drinking water was restored, and hygiene facilities were made usable again.
The impact was immediate and visible. At the Pay Centre School in Mota Devalaya, 40 new students enrolled after the WASH upgrades and most of them were girls. The school was recognised with an award by UNICEF Delhi, and more girls are now choosing to continue their education beyond Class 6.
This transformation shows what becomes possible when clean water, safe sanitation, and dignity are restored through sustained WASH interventions.
Following the success of ZP School, Jalindher Nagar, Ennoble has taken the HMST Program to 12 other government schools, driving measurable improvements in Foundational Literacy & Numeracy, STEM participation, and local ownership. The next big milestone is to scale this transformation to 100 government schools across Pune district.
At the helm is National Award-winning teacher Shri Dattatray Ware (Ware Guruji), whose government school stands as a national model of excellence. With his mentorship, Ennoble is creating a movement of 100 government schools led by inspired teachers and equipped to drive transformation from within.
The model prioritizes empowerment over enforcement, trust over top-down mandates, and relationships over rules. By combining Ware Guruji’s pedagogy with scalable public systems and infrastructure, we are building a model that not only inspires but also replicates.
Clean water, safe sanitation, and hygiene are the simplest ways to transform a child’s school experience. By partnering with Ennoble, you can help provide WASH facilities that restore dignity, protect health, and keep children, especially girls, in school.
